Crowder GEAR UP students tour Connors State College

Thirty-four Crowder eighth and ninth grade Eastern Oklahoma State College GEAR UP students recently toured Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma. Students began the day in the Fine Arts Auditorium where they received information about Connors State College, current staff, available majors, work-study programs, sports, and financial aid. Students participated in a campus tour where they viewed the Equine Barn, Classroom Building, Student Union, and Melvin Self Fieldhouse. Throughout the tour, students received information regarding financial planning for college, including completion of Oklahoma’s Promise in eighth, ninth, or 10th grades. Fanshawe eighth grade Eastern Oklahoma State College GEAR UP students recently toured CSC (Connors State College) in Warner, Okla. CSC Assistant Director of Recruitment Chandler Young met the group at the Fine Arts Auditorium where she provided students with an introduction and overview of the college. Howe eighth and ninth grade GEAR UP students recently toured CSC (Connors State College) in Warner, Oklahoma. The tour began in the Fine Arts Building. Students met with CSC Assistant Director of Recruitment Chandler Young as she gave a brief overview of what to expect during a student’s college experience. Twenty-three Haileyville eighth and ninth grade GEAR UP students recently toured Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma. The tour began in the Fine Arts Building, where the students met with the Director of Recruitment, Logan Nero. Shady Point GEAR UP students tour Tulsa Glassblowing School and Connors State College

Twenty-five Shady Point GEAR UP students recently toured the Tulsa Glassblowing School and Connors State College. Students began their day at TGS (Tulsa Glassblowing School) where they met Susan Teeters, Program Director. As TGS students demonstrated how to create a large glass ornament, Teeters explained the process. Students learned that glass blowing is a process that begins as the glassblower reaches inside the furnace and into the crucible (where clear glass is melted) and gathers a layer of molten glass on the end of a steel blow pipe. McCurtain GEAR UP students tour Connors State College

Twenty-three McCurtain GEAR UP seventh and eighth grade students recently toured Connors State College (CSC) in Warner. Students began their day at CSC in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
