Seventeen Shady Point eighth grade GEAR UP students recently toured NSU (Northeastern State University) in Tahlequah. Students began the day at the University Center where they were greeted by NSU Campus Visit Program Graduate Assistant Bailey Rush, and NSU Student Ambassadors Tim Gardenhigh and Cheyenne Johns. Rush presented students with an overview of NSU, including information about admissions and scholarships, campus life activities, and degree programs. Forty-four Panama ninth grade GEAR UP students recently toured NSU (Northeastern State University) in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Students were greeted by NSU’s Visit Program Graduate Assistant Bailey Rush and Tour Guides Cheyenne Johns and Emma Chasteen. Rush presented students with an overview of NSU, highlighting information on how to become an NSU RiverHawk! Rush shared NSU’s Freshmen College Entrance Requirements, such as taking the ACT, meeting a score of 20 or above, and the importance of your GPA (Grade Point Average) while in high school. Thirty-three Indianola eighth and ninth grade GEAR UP students recently toured NSU (Northeastern State University) in Tahlequah. Students were greeted by NSU Campus Visit Program Graduate Assistant Bailey Rush and were presented with an overview of NSU. Rush provided students with information about degree programs, financial aid, and tuition rates. NSU has twenty-four graduate programs, sixty undergraduate programs, and the only optometry program in the State of Oklahoma. NSU has the fourth lowest tuition rate in Oklahoma. McAlester 8th Grade GEAR UP girls tour Northeastern State University

Seventy-eight McAlester 8th grade GEAR UP students recently toured Northeastern State University (NSU) in Tahlequah. Students began the day at the W. Roger Webb Educational Technology Center where they were greeted by Kaylee Switzer, Northeastern State University Representative and alumnae, and Northeastern State University Student Ambassadors, Lexie Billingsley, Sakshi Kaushik, and Brittany Waters. Switzer presented students with an overview of NSU. After the presentation, students were separated into three groups to tour the other buildings on campus with student ambassadors leading the groups. Students toured the Leoser Hall, part of the campus’ residential complex, where they saw a dorm room.
