Krebs eighth grade students tour Eastern Oklahoma State College

Twenty-five Krebs eighth grade GEAR UP students and two Krebs Public School staff members recently toured Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton. Recruiter Karen Darby met students at the E. E. Tourtellotte Student Center when they arrived on campus and began the tour. Gunning Hall provided students a fun and educational introduction to careers in the medical field. Krebs 8th grade students tour the Oklahoma City Zoo

Krebs Public School’s 8th grade GEAR UP students recently traveled to Oklahoma City to tour the Oklahoma City Zoo. The tour began at the Rosser Conservation Education Center where Education Instructor Abby Hurt presented the program “Animal Training in Zoos” to the 26 GEAR UP students. Hurt stated animals are ambassadors and assist with saving them. Krebs 7th grade GEAR UP students recently traveled to Oklahoma City to tour the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden. The tour began at the Rosser Conservation Education Center. GEAR UP Provides Professional Development Services to Area Schools

Professional Development Coordinator John Spiegel and Assistant to the Professional Development Coordinator Kathy Ramsey spent several days recently in area schools providing training to their teachers. Topics included Motivational Classroom Management and Poverty in Education (Ruby Payne.)
