Antlers eighth grade GEAR UP students tour Carl Albert State College

Antlers eight grade GEAR UP students recently toured CASC (Carl Albert State College). Students were greeted by Garrett Hayes, Viking Ambassador and a sophomore majoring in Business Communications, and Samantha Lininger, Viking Ambassador and a sophomore majoring in Allied Health. Students began their tour in Hemphill Hall. It is the administrative building for CASC and houses many offices including Admissions and Financial Aid. Lininger discussed the Scholars Program and how it has helped pay for her education at CASC. Seventh grade students from Antlers recently toured CASC (Carl Albert State College) in Poteau. Students were greeted by Michael Walker, Viking Ambassador and a sophomore majoring in Allied Health, and Toby Huff, Viking Ambassador and a sophomore majoring in General Studies. The tour began in Hemphill Hall, the administrative building for CASC. Many offices of the institution are found in Hemphill Hall including Admissions and Financial Aid. Hartshorne 8th grade GEAR UP students tour Carl Albert State College

Fifty- two Hartshorne Public School 8th grade GEAR UP students recently traveled to Poteau to tour Carl Albert State College (CASC). CASC Viking Ambassador D’karre Lynch began the tour with students in Hemphill Hall where the Student Affairs Office is located. Lynch said the Student Affairs office can assist with anything fun on campus. Students saw the Enrollment Management office where staff assist with scheduling, transfers, and scholarships. Students were advised to visit the Office of Admissions for help with obtaining transcripts and graduation and the Financial Aid office for anything related to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Bokoshe GEAR UP students tour Carl Albert State College and the University of Arkansas, Ft. Smith

Twenty–four Bokoshe seventh and eighth grade GEAR UP students recently toured Carl Albert State College in Poteau and the University of Arkansas campus in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The tour began in Hemphill Hall at Carl Albert State College (CASC). CASC Student Ambassador and Recruiter Hunter Sisemore greeted the students and introduced them to CASC Student Ambassadors Gloria Evans and D’Karre Lynch. Seventh grade GEAR UP students from Hartshorne Public School recently traveled to Poteau to tour Carl Albert State College (CASC). The tour began at Hemphill Hall where Viking Ambassadors Gloria Evans and Sam Lininger advised students they could enroll, receive assistance with residency, request transcripts, and apply for graduation. ACT testing is offered to students in the Student Success Center. Students were shown Johnson Hall where they could receive assistance from Student Support Services including evaluation of monthly grade sheets.
