Crowder seventh and eighth graders tour Oral Roberts University in Tulsa

Forty-six seventh and eighth grade Crowder GEAR UP students recently toured ORU (Oral Roberts University) in Tulsa. Student Ambassadors Rosa Beitia (a Medical Molecular Biology senior from San Antonio, TX) and Marc Swanner (a Ministry and Leadership/Business Management freshman from Greenville, NC) welcomed Crowder students to the Global Learning Center before starting the tour. Student Ambassadors gave visitors an overview of the campus and life as a student at ORU. Thirty-five GEAR UP students recently traveled to Tulsa to tour Oral Roberts University (ORU). Students began the morning by participating in a guided tour at ORU led by Student Ambassadors Joseph Thomas, a freshman from Montgomery, AL majoring in Business Administration and Allyson Woods, a sophomore from McKinney, TX majoring in Communications. Thirty-five eighth grade Porum GEAR UP students recently traveled to Tulsa to visit Oral Roberts University (ORU). Students began the morning by participating in a guided tour at ORU led by Student Ambassadors Jordan Rollinson (a sophomore from Fort Worth, TX majoring in Government) and Joseph Thomas (a freshman from Montgomery, AL majoring in Business Administration). Students saw numerous buildings and learned about various programs on campus. Students began the tour at ORU’s Global Learning Center where student ambassadors met students inside on this unusually chilly day to welcome them to campus. They ventured across campus to the Graduate Center.

Thirty-five eighth grade GEAR UP students recently traveled to Tulsa to tour Oral Roberts University (ORU). Eufaula GEAR UP sixth graders tour OK Aquarium and Oral Roberts University

Fifty-one Eufaula GEAR UP students recently traveled to Jenks to visit the OK Aquarium. Then they traveled to Tulsa to tour Oral Roberts University (ORU). Students began the morning by participating in a guided tour at the OK Aquarium let by Education Specialist Julia Gibson. Eufaula students participated in a “Swim Into Science” tour where special aquatic tanks are held outside of the main public sections of the aquarium. They visited the quarantine area where animals are held until they are ready to move to the visitors’ side. Gibson and other biologists were working to feed and treat the animals
