Coalgate sixth grade GEAR UP students tour Science Museum Oklahoma

Forty-three GEAR UP sixth grade students from Coalgate Public Schools recently toured the Science Museum Oklahoma. Students spent the day exploring the home to 350,000 square feet of hands-on science experiences, art, and history. The students enjoyed the Science Floor, the heart of the museum with hundreds of activities to teach, entertain and astound. Students learned to drive a Segway, draw spiral grams with a large pendulum, and experience a tornado in the weather station.

Savanna GEAR UP students tour the Oklahoma Aquarium

Thirty-two GEAR UP students from Savanna Public Schools recently traveled to Jenks to tour the Oklahoma Aquarium. The 6th and 7th graders explored the aquarium and visited the eight exhibits including the sites that focus on invertebrates, Oklahoma species, Ozark habitats, a coral reef, and sharks. Canadian GEAR UP sixth and seventh graders tour Tulsa Community College & OK Aquarium

Fifty-one Canadian GEAR UP students recently traveled to Tulsa to tour Tulsa Community College (TCC) and Jenks to visit the Oklahoma Aquarium. Students began the morning by participating in a guided tour at the Southeast Campus of TCC. Student Recruiters William Baldwin and Ali Castillo led students through the beautiful campus. TCC is the third largest school in our state with enrollment numbers around 25,000 students. There are four main campuses in the Tulsa area.

Thirty Eufaula GEAR UP students recently traveled to Jenks to visit the Oklahoma Aquarium and Tulsa to tour Tulsa Community College (TCC). Fanshawe 6th and 7th Grade GEAR UP students recently visited the Science Museum Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. The two-story museum consists of a wide-array of hands-on activities that allow students to have fun in an engaging way. Eastern GEAR UP provides CPR training for Red Oak Seniors

Twenty–three seniors at Red Oak High School recently completed training and received CPR course completion certificates.
