Thirteen Eufaula High School 11th and 12th-grade GEAR UP students recently toured OSU-IT (Oklahoma State University of Technology) in Okmulgee, OK. Eufaula GEAR UP Students Tour the OKC Zoo and Botanical Garden

One hundred and twenty GEAR UP sophomore and junior students recently visited the OKC Zoo and Botanical Garden in Oklahoma City’s Adventure District in northeast Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Zoo covers over 100 acres of beautiful gardens and animal exhibits. Thirty-eight Eufaula High School eleventh-grade GEAR UP students recently toured NSU (Northeastern State University) in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Students began the tour with a greeting and presentation from NSU’s presentation speaker  Braydin Ballard and tour guides Ashley Onyemechi and Jaci Nixon, who are all current NSU students. 550 area high school sophomore GEAR UP students from 30 schools learned how to better prepare for the ACT as they attended a virtual, three-hour workshop presented by Chad Cargill, Founder and President of Cargill Consulting, Inc. Eufaula GEAR UP Students Virtually Tour Eastern Oklahoma State College

Seventy-one Eufaula freshmen and sophomore GEAR UP students recently participated in a virtual college tour of EOSC (Eastern Oklahoma State College). Recruiter Karen Darby conducted an in-person presentation along with a virtual tour of the EOSC campus. Thirty-nine Eufaula ninth grade GEAR UP students visited the Cherokee Heritage Center in Park Hill, OK. Students toured Diligwa, a 1710 Cherokee Village. Students explored the primary council house learning that Cherokee families are matrilineal, which allows women to choose their husbands, hunt, fish, gather, and go to war. Fifty-one GEAR UP students recently traveled to Tulsa to tour the Southeast Campus of Tulsa Community College (TCC).
