Panola GEAR UP students toured the Fort Smith National Historic Site

Panola seventh and eighth-grade GEAR UP students recently traveled to the Fort Smith National Historic Site in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Cody Faber, a Ranger at the Parks Department, was the guide. Students were led through the grounds where they saw first-hand where history was made. Students had read True Grit by Charles Portis, so they got a better understanding of the historical events. Panola GEAR UP students tour Connors State College

The Panola seventh and eighth grade GEAR UP students recently toured CSC (Connors State College) in Warner. The tour began in the Fine Arts Auditorium. CSC Director of Recruitment Logan Nero provided Panola students with an introduction to Connors State College and discussed the degree programs offered, financial aid information, and scholarship assistance that is available. Panola GEAR UP students tour the Oklahoma Aquarium

Panola GEAR UP students recently visited the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks. Students toured the aquarium and was given a behind–the–scenes tour of the kitchen where they prepare meals for all the exhibits and a behind–the–scenes tour of the shark tank.
