Eastern Oklahoma State College received a 7 year, $17 million dollar GEAR UP Partnership Grant in 2017. The grant serves over 3,000 students spread over 39 school districts (shown left) and covers a significant portion of Eastern and Southeastern Oklahoma.

The GEAR UP – Ignite Belief Grant, in cooperation with its partner schools, provide college readiness and preparatory services to the students and parents of the grant’s cohort. They provide access to college campuses and other sites of cultural or educational interest far beyond the grant’s largely rural borders.

Coalgate GEAR UP Students tour ECU

September 25, 2023

Forty-one GEAR UP students from Coalgate High School recently traveled to Ada, OK, to tour the campus of East Central University (ECU). Ashlee Heck, Director
