A “Motivational Classroom Management” tips and tools workshop was recently provided for Tannehill teachers by Eastern Oklahoma State College GEAR UP Professional Development Coordinator John Spiegel.
“I enjoy sharing best practices and ideas with teachers on how to motivate and manage their classrooms,” said Spiegel. “We have a great time exchanging ideas and sharing experiences. Any time we can collaborate with other educators, we learn a lot.”
The workshop was provided by Eastern Oklahoma State College’s GEAR UP grant. The Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a federal initiative to increase the number of low income students who enter and successfully transition into postsecondary education. Eastern is in its second year of implementation of the over $17 million grant. The grant is designed to help students and educators in 39 partner schools.
