Area Middle and High School Math and Science Teachers Receive Texas Instruments Technology and Training

Forty-five area middle and high school math and science teachers recently participated in a three-day TI (Texas Instruments) training at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton. The workshop was designed to help teachers integrate the TI-Nspire Navigator Systems effectively into classroom instruction, which helps students explore, understand and connect the principles of science, math, coding engineering design, and electronics. Each teacher received more than $7,000 in TI equipment. The trainings were conducted by Texas Instruments Specialists Mike Smith and Sandra Hocutt. Year 4 is Underway!

School is back in session across Southeast Oklahoma, and that means that EOSC GEAR UP is busy  kicking off another year with the teachers and students of our partner schools. This year’s cohort is in the 10th and 11th grade, and with students entering high school, college is looming closer and closer on the horizon! We have a lot of great things planned for the year, so keep an eye here for ways to get involved!
