Eastern Oklahoma State College GEAR UP provides CPR training to Canadian seniors

Eastern Oklahoma State College GEAR UP Professional Development Coordinator John Spiegel recently held a training session for Canadian High School seniors in the art and science of CPR. Students also learned other rescue techniques, including the Heimlich Maneuver (pictured) which is used open an airway blocked by a foreign object. Eastern GEAR UP provides CPR training for Red Oak Seniors

Twenty–three seniors at Red Oak High School recently completed training and received CPR course completion certificates. Eastern Oklahoma State College Professional Development Coordinator John Spiegel conducted the workshop with the assistance of PD Administrative Assistant Kathy Ramsey and Education Coordinator Tara Martin. “The students were great!” said Spiegel. “They were really into it and seemed excited they received the training.” The workshop was provided by Eastern Oklahoma State College GEAR UP.
