Wilburton GEAR UP Students Tour Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology

Wilburton sophomore GEAR UP students recently toured Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology (OSUIT) in Okmulgee, OK. OSUIT is a recognized leader in applied technology education. Students were greeted at the Grady Clark Center by Recruiter Caitlin McCourt upon arrival. McCourt provided students with an overview of the academic programs offered, admission requirements, tuition cost and the history of OSUIT. Students then viewed a presentation video of Dr. Bill R. Path, President of OSUIT speaking to students about the expertise of instructors and job placement upon graduation. McCourt also discussed with students about the hands-on experience they can receive from all the programs at OSUIT. After the presentation, Wilburton sophomore students had the opportunity to get a feel of how campus life would be as an OSUIT student. Recruiter, Caitlin McCourt and Friend of Pete, Kyle Kimberlin led students on a walking tour. Students toured Miller-Kamm which includes dorms and Wilson Commons, Covelle Hall Wellness Center, and the Learning Resource Center before ending their tour in the Student Union where students were provided lunch by the Cowboy Café.
